ACTE Excellence Awards

Alabama ACTE administers the ACTE Excellence Awards for members in Alabama. State award winners in these categories are eligible to move forward for consideration at the regional level through ACTE Region II, and if a finalist at the regional level, are eligible to progress to the national level through National ACTE. Learn more about the Excellence Awards here, or begin a nomination by selecting one of the Excellence Awards below.

Please note that National ACTE's annual award cycle is a year ahead of Alabama's state-level award cycle. For example, if someone is named an Alabama award winner at the 2025 Summer Professional Development Conference based on the applications that are being accepted currently, they would advance to the regional level in March 2026. If they are named the regional winner, then they would advance to the national round. 2027's national award winners will be announced at National ACTE's VISION Conference in December 2026.

Alabama State Awards

Separate from the ACTE Excellence Awards, ALACTE recognizes two state-level awards: the Alabama Award of Merit and the Alabama Hall of Fame Award. These awards do not advance to the regional or national level, but they allow ALACTE to honor and celebrate additional CTE professionals working to support Alabama's learners and ALACTE.

The ALACTE Award of Merit recognizes individuals or organizations outside the field of career and technical education for their significant contributions to the improvement, promotion, development, and progress of CTE at the local, state, and/or national levels. Special attention is paid to individuals or organizations that have specifically contributed to CTE in Alabama. Apply here: Alabama ACTE Award of Merit

The ALACTE Hall of Fame Award recognizes individuals for their leadership and dedication to the Alabama Association for Career and Technical Education and CTE in Alabama. Apply here: Alabama ACTE Hall of Fame
