District of Columbia ACTE Excellence Awards

Great organizations recognize the significance of honoring and acknowledging their members' contributions. We encourage you to nominate yourself or a great colleague for a DC ACTE Excellence Award. Through this awards program, our aims are threefold:

  1. Recognize, highlight, and celebrate outstanding achievements within the District.
  2. Establish benchmarks for excellence in CTE throughout the District.
  3. Enhance member involvement and retention.

The District of Columbia Awards program aims to advance career and technical education (CTE) excellence by honoring members who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and impact in the field. This recognition is extended to individuals who have shown exemplary leadership, provided valuable service, implemented programs that uphold rigorous standards, and undertaken initiatives to advance and broaden CTE in the District. We eagerly await your award submissions!

Awards Process

All District of Columbia ACTE Excellence Awards must be submitted by July 15, 2024. If you have questions about the District of Columbia ACTE Excellence Awards program, please contact the DC ACTE President or DC ACTE Awards Chair for additional information. All nominees must have an active membership by the close of applications. Please contact us if there is a membership question or if you are interested in becoming a member of DC ACTE. Winners will be announced and recognized at the DC CTE Summer Professional Development Conference on August 20th, 2024.

DC ACTE Excellence Award winners are forwarded for consideration at the Region I level the following March. Winners are then recognized at the Region I conference in May of that year and forwarded to the ACTE National awards level. National winners are announced and recognized at the ACTE Awards Banquet during CareerTech VISION.
